Someone send this man a hood shock. Detailing the engine is a PITA, but the reward will pay off.

          What's next?

Hahah yeah the hood shock took a crap on me when I had the hood off. I just have a lot of misk work to do right now. Like the + power terminal, I accidently sold the old one with the engine, so I need to track a new one down. Also my glove box area is in shambles. I lost all the screws for the trim in the glove box, and the auctual glove box is broken. Right now all the wires are just hanging down with the ECU on the floor.

As for bigger projects, I have a roll bar thats all painted and read to go in, which I may do this weekend some time. Also I have e36 m3 calipers that need rotor spacers and rotors to go in, but that project looks like its on hold for the time being, I dont have the funds for the parts right now.

Does anyone know of anything that I can get my intake manifold and any other black plastic part nice and black again? I have tried back to black and some other stuff but it dosnt work. It looks all pretty for like 10 min then it wears off.

I usually mist some tire shine on the black parts of my engine bay while its still wet, let it soak in, spray with water and repeat a couple times. It works pretty well.

Hahha yeah, no one would sell me a k&n in town based on dimentions. I had to get my car running like then, so I threw down the $15 for that filter, better than not having one at all I guess. Thats just one more of those things that I need to fix but havnt gotten around to it yet.

Thanks digitalwave, Ill give the tire shine idea a try.

HAHA, join the club. APC universal high flow airfilter ftw. Comes in 3", 3.5" and 4" inlet diameters, all on the same filter
