    Ruby the 1985 TC Baur

Ok, so I picked up Ruby for the princely sum of $1000 back in November, since then she has had a bit of a tidy up....

    The list includes:

    Lowtec 60/55 springs
    BBS reps, 15x7.5 and 8.5
    Full 318is seat set
    Red needles in the cluster
    New gearshift gaiter
Short shift fit and all bushes replaces
    Solid castor bushes
    A/C compressor bushes
    MTech steering wheel and
    Hours of polishing,

    The list goes on!

    Cheers
    Dan

Thanks mate, appreciate it. Never owned a convertible before, and Ive had around 40-45 cars, I would recommend it to anyone! Except when it's a 40+ degree day, it's not so good then.

Original paint just cut and polished, (a whole Saturday's work, and then some) to be honest the right hand side isn't perfect, after about 2 weeks it starts to fade pink again, I like that's its a bit beaten up.

This must be one lightweight car, being a super early 318i missing a good chunk of it's roof :) If you ever have a chance to get it on the scales, I bet you might win the award for lightest factory e30

Thanks guys, in the middle of trying to decide what to do with the engine, half of me wants to build a throttle bodied screamer M10, the other half days just throw and exhaust on and leave it at that. Any suggestions?

I would start with a better fuel management system, like megasquirt. I think it will unlock some more power from the M10, almost guarantee you'll have better fuel economy, and then later whatever you decide to do you can tune the car to cater to the changes. Theres a lot you can do with the M10 motor.

One of my daughters' name is Ruby. Therefore I like it. Would have anyway. Nice.
