      Yeah, but that change into a WRX and you have a seriously built machine.

        I think a WRX could still hang with and/or beat an E30 with a stock S50 swap.

          ^ especially my year (2006) wrx, has the 2.5 turbo in the WRX now, and people are already run 13's with them completely stock. Funny thing is the STI and WRX for 2006 are only about 10-15whp on the dyno. My WRX was 12 grand cheaper than the STI too, haha

          but I still love a well done E30, it's a totally different type of car than the WRX so I think it's real hard to compare.

            No way. Get a ride in a non-STi WRX then in an S50'd E30. Big difference.

              This has got me curious - got any charts that back this up?



              That link does say that the 2006 is underrated, and has about 10whp more than the earlier cars (rated at only 3 more). They had a stock 2004 STi put down 264whp, a stock 2004 WRX put down 196whp, and a stock 2006 put down 206 - all on the same dyno.
