Thanks for the comments guys, I would love to have an s50/s52 in the E21 but I've been down that road before and I would like to try something different. I'm thinking turbo but I'm not sure yet. This car is considerably smaller and lighter than the E30 so my M20 feels pretty fast.

It's probably just a Minnesota thing, but what do you have to do to get a "collector" license plate? Does it have to be 25 years old or something?
Thanks Brandon, Collectors plates are for cars over 23 years old(I think) and dont require the yearly fee for tabs. The only stipulation is that you keep the mileage under 3000 miles a year which is no problem for me.
