    the ultimate e30 cupholder.

i give luke (stereoinstaller) credit for this idea. i was reading around and noticed the cupholder thread, i've never liked ANY cupholder solutions in the e30 until now. luke mentioned he used a 3" port tube. i've had a couple 2.5" port tubes laying around so i did a mock up and it seemed awesome. holds my poland spring bottles, 12oz. cans and hopefully other bottles and cups as well. what i thought would take about 30 minutes ended up being about 2 hours of cutting and trimming to get it perfect. that material is hard to cut with hand tools. anyway. on the the pictures...

havent driven with it yet, but its seems like the shiznizzle.

Go Polska power. Looks like there are going to be two Polaks with non-vanos M50's in beat up 4 doors pretty soon :D

    Keep it slideways!!

sitting in the car and going through gears i dont even touch the bottle thats in there. i sit as forward as the seat lets me though, so may be different for others.

ill update after a drive. i dont take credit for this, luke gave me the idea, i dont know where he got the idea, but i copied him, you can copy me :)

You must be short than? The closest I can sit is line 3-4 notches up from the furthest back! lol Even then, on long trips, my seat is all teh way back!

                I am 6'3" though.

im 5' 10" but i like to sit close so im pushing more down on the pedals rather than straight forward. and i like being closer to the steering wheel. idk, personal preference i guess.

Looks great. I just threw a port tube away yesterday.

I know the feeling! I wish I could sit closer too. My legs have no room if I'm any closer - I want a steering wheel spacer. lol

Gives you more control - I know where you're coming from. I was cramped at the track, but I felt the car a lot more!
