Blunt made me a deal I couldnt refuse.( vintage race car content)

So me and blunt were talking the other day about random bs I mentioned I was looking for a cheap car to make a race car. That when He made me a deal I couldnt say no to and now Im going to get this baby

Its an 70 2002 race car been race car for most its life getting the log books soon. Shes setup for racing as you can see I let blunt keep the billy green dots to lower the price for me. Plans are to throw a decent set of dampers on maybe IE coils and a m10 with weber sidedrafts and race the hell out of it in any vintage class i can get into. Plan to auto cross it to just to get a feel for it. Will start a project thread for it once parts are gathered.

Cant wait to tear into it and get it running and driving should be a great fun car!

Nice! I didn't know Steve had this hiding around. I'm curious about the cars history? Digging the close ratio box and widened steelies.

With a bit of work that'll be a really fun car. Guessing RMVR is the closest historic sanctioning body around you.

2002's can make for great little racecars. Primitive, but fun. They can be competitive if classed decently and driven well. M10's with dual sidedrafts sound pretty heavenly at full chat too as I came to find out (note: I by no means was a fast, or even competent, driver back when this was taken :P):

That car is actually Jeff Chang's, and the engine that was in it back then is the spare one he was offering on FB. I believe that M10 actually recieved some upgrades since then as well.

Does your car have a dogleg transmission in it?

Are you jp Hermes? Not sure what tranny it is. Believe it's a 4spd hopefully I can get a Jeff Chang motor some day.

                              I approve.

Hopefully Steve didn't include me in this sale. I know he loves the full body massages I can give.
