    Hello y'all!

Joined the forums today so this is basically my first official post on here. Ever since high school I had been searching around to find an e30 and just never had the money to get one. However college came around and I was able to land a paid internship this year as a sophomore, and here is what came out of it! 1989 325is

I'll post more pictures of the engine below, but basically what the car had done was take a m50 block and put it in the car, but kept the m20 look to it, as a sleeper. It has new race cam, pistons, custom headers, ecu, solid body mounts and some other things done to it. All I know is that this thing will haul and I have a ton of fun in it. I have no comparison to go off of as I have not driven a stock e30 but the guy I purchased it from said it was around 280hp.

I just went and picked up a stock set of tail lights from the junk yard today that I just cleaned up and am going to put those on tomorrow. I also have a set of GC coilovers with camber plates I can put on it or I have a set of Bilstein shocks with H&R race springs sitting in a box I could do too. Still don't know what the best option is for a nice stance while still maintaining good ride quality. This thing is a blast to drive and let me know what you guys think! If you have any questions or want to see some more photos let me know.

M50 that looks like an M20? Uhh WTF are you talking about?

That's an m20 with a MAF conversion. Lol at 280hp.

I'll take a better picture tomorrow but I have all the receipts for the build. I also called the shop, which is a reputable German automotive shop in Atlanta to verify when I first got it and they said it was true because I was skeptical too. They said they put an m50 short block in it.

I should have been more specific.

Believe us when we tell you that that's an m20.

              Post the receipt items.

Sounds good will do, I'll post them when I get up for work tomorrow. I didn't pay for the car as if it had a m50 in it, so I'm not dissappointed or anything. I was just looking through the receipts and stumbled across it. He just said when I bought it that it had been stroked.

Oh, and you should definitely get some stock tails.

Makes that booty look like an old Accord.

That doesn't make any sense to me, but what do I know? Someone spent a lot of money. I doubt the 280 hp. Looks clean though once you swap tails.

ETA: I bet they just mistyped the engine code, just like they misspelled half the words on that work order.

Very well could have been mistyped. To me it doesn't feel like 280hp, but does feel more than stock. either way I'm happy, finally got my first e30.

How does it feel more than stick if you've never driven a stock e30?

Regardless, that car is not a bad starting point. Enjoy it.
