aaaaaaand mostly complete. Still need to get the turn signal and the yellow US-spec reflector installed. Then I need to grab my spare lip and send it over to Ayed at King's Autobody for paint, and he'll also repaint the rocker panels and under the rear bumper back to body color.

This car is turning out really great.

Installed the carpet. It looks and feels and smells good.

Then I decided to modify the hub caps a bit. I ate a burrito today and my mind was churning all kinds of wild ideas. So far, I like what is going on. I need to widen the wheels another 1.5-2" to pull this look off, though.

I started by cutting off these things:

Then I cleaned up the ends with a grinder and mounted them. This is a test fit, merely to see what I've done. I like it.

Need to get a gosh dang interior in this car.

I think an Esty carpet will be my next purchase for my 02, it's amazing how much nicer your interior looks compared to my crusty old carpet.

Esty carpets are great. None are direct fit...they all require trimming, but that doesn't bother me too much. It takes about 2-4 hours total depending on skill level.

And for the wheels, I never liked the outer ring of the later hub caps. Cutting the outer lip was a much better aesthetic solution. I do intend on widening the lips. I want to see how close I can get them to et 12-18. I figure another 1.5" will get me a decent lip while retaining the hub cap. I'd love to rebarrel the whole wheel and redo the rear barrel to allow for IE's 13" Wilwood BBK. Currently, this kit will not fit behind any 13" 2002 steel wheels. I hope to change that. I am going to visit the shop who can perform the work, tomorrow. They are local to me.

14x6 et12-18ish is the goal. I think that would be all kinds of radical.

I was hoping to run by the wheel shop today but I have unexpected out of town guests and a surprise beach date with a beautiful lass this evening. So I have to put clothes on and probably work out or whatever people do.

I have a quick question about pricing for a paint job done on a front and rear valance to match the color of my e30(alpineII) at Kings, if you want to PM me about it that would be awesome, obviously I know you're not quoting and don't quote for them but if I can get an idea on what you've done and how much you've spent and I can definitely gage some things together before i reach out to Ayed.

Thanks man! Single life has its perks, as does married life. Right now, my money goes towards the building of a third company and a few car projects. At some point, I will have to focus on other things like a house or children or not going to jail. But for now, things are manageable. I hope to open up a garage in Los Angeles for my cars and friends, that will be connected to the new company's warehouse. If things go according to my plan, that should be up in the next year.

I do appreciate the kind words.

It's probably better for you to go down and talk with Ayed. Him and I have a deal as he's doing more than one car for me. If you are nice to him and smile and make him laugh, I'm sure you'll get a great deal. If you give him racecar parts like I have, or maybe a part that he has been searching for for the last two years, he will probably do it for free. And I believe he responds very favorably to food.

The green car is a weird one for me. I need to see it lowered, widened 13" steelies, and a roof rack. Then I'll decide what the next phase of it's life will be. I may sell it, I may turbo it. All I know is that I want to drive it. I know the 1600 will be the car I keep for as long as I am able. That's the car I've wanted since I knew what 2002s were. So who knows.

There are only five people who can persuade me to do things to it. One is Abdu, the other is Sebo (though I don't listen to him as much because he wants me to make every wheel 14" wide). The other three are old guys, one of which is on this board (Lorin).

                          I need food.

Edit: I forgot to post these photos of the Florida 1600. Bodywork is in full swing. Aiming to paint the car at the end of this month. All bodywork is being completed using new metal and as little filler as possible. This body guy is good.

                          See photos:
