I love it. Sweet car. Interior is very cool. Your rims are sweet, no doubt, but call me crazy........I think some Alpinas would look more the part. An Alpina 4 spoke steering wheel would be hot, too. Regardless of my 2 cents great looking car dude.

If I came in paying cash at this shop, there is no way in hell it would be cost effective to do. I don't mean to be cagey about what all this is running me (well, I do) but even if I were to divulge the total, it would be largely irrelevant to someone looking to come up with their own estimate on another car at another shop. I will say that a quality paint job will generally cost well into the thousands and the overall cost will vary by whether a color change is involved in which case areas of the car typically not painted as part of a normal repaint (under the hood, door jams, etc.) need to be factored in and/or whether other body work is revealed to be subpar (i.e. they find lots of filler or other issues).

It's funny, but after you go through having all of this work done, little things you never noticed before really stick out like a sore thumb - like the chipped fogs and trim. I've put the time to use, though, and have installed various other odds and ends (new LSD diff, m3 bushings, all new door trim, tires, turn signals, etc. etc.)
Anyway, it should be no more than a week or two out and I'll be sure to get pics right away.

Very cool! Believe me I know what you mean about the little imperfections. After my restoration every speck of dirt drove me crazy.
I could not really enjoy the car because I was always worried and hated parking it, I became like Cameron in Ferris Bueler's day off with the Ferrari.
Now that it is gone I miss the hell out of it. I am thinking fully restored Tii but my Wife thinks they are unsafe. I showed her a picture of a 72, she said what is up with the bumpers. lol

Wow... some strong praise in this thread from very respected members of this board, including owners of cars which have made my own jaw drop (no comment on other anatomical reactions).
Anyway, a few more last minute additions en route including these puppies to compliment the new signals and a set of Dinan sways that have now joined the new LSD and Cabs:
I hope the finished product lives up to the high praise and high expectations.
Thanks everyone,
