The car was rear ended recently on our lovely SoCal freeways... and by recently, I mean like 3 months ago.

Since there was no structural damage (tailights, bumper, support bar and rear valence sheetmetal only - the trunk floor was still straight) I decided to go ahead and not only fix the damage, but to get rid of all the little imperfections and annoyances that have been bothering me. Basically, it was a well-loved and well-maintained 14 year old car, but a 14 year old car nontheless. It looked good in person before, but not perfect.

The goal is to make it a truly special car, but not stray too far from how it looked before (subtle tweaks and changes that only a real E30 fan would ever notice).

Anyway, these pics were from today and I am told the car is nearing completion. You can see from the other cars in the shop, that this was done at a BMW specialist facility and one that is very selective about which cars they take in to work on - so I am not too worried about them getting it right.

              More to follow...

                      Good man, good taste.

I trust your judgement on the final product.
