    e30 coupe

    Got this unit recently, planning to sink some money any suggestions are welcome on what can and should be done. cheers

    Here's a quick list of what I would check if I were you:

    -Timing belt must be replaced. Last thing you want is your belt to snap and say buh bye to your engine. While you're in there, replace the water pump, thermostat, cam seals and tensioner just for added measure. If you want, a valve adjustment is also helpful if it's a 325.

    -Check your oil pan and gasket for any leaks or cracks.

    -Check every switch and button in your car. Electrical problems are the devil, and the sooner you find one, it'll be easier for you to prioritize what you want to fix. I had to get a new wiring harness for mine when we couldn't solve a short.

    -Replace your battery if you think it's necessary.

    -Check your weatherstripping and look for any leaks when it's raining or have a friend hose your car down with water while you're inside so you can have an easier time looking for them.
