Making progress with my Burgundrot eta

Just wanted to share a few pics of the progress with my 85 325e that I've been restoring over the past year or so. Just got out of paint and it looks pretty nice. Excuse the potato phone pics.

Not a show quality job, but certainly better than where we started with the old Burg.

Plans are to continue refreshing/upgrading. I'd like to find a nice sets of 15" BBS Mahles/RSs or Ronal LS wheels. Engine will need a freshening up, and I have a lower mileage eta that I may just plop an 885 Bimmerheads head onto (I have waffled about doing an M52TU aluminum block swap, but I kinda like the old school M20 feel of it). Plus A/C...lord I need that down here in the South. Front seats need a recover, too.

The aluminum block M52 is an awesome motor. Makes great power and you get better mpg than a M20. I love mine. A friend here has a low mileage one for sale for a little more than the cost of the Bimmerheads head you want.. Food for thought

Yeah if I decide 24V the M52 makes sense, but I have a decent low mileage spare eta and while technically the Bimmerheads head would cost about the same as a good M52 long block, it would ostensibly be new vs. something with at least 100k miles. A bit less involved to do 2.7i and much easier to deal with A/C, too.

But hell who knows I may change my mind if the right deal pops up (like the M52 in Atlanta on c/l that recently sold for $500).
