      That thing is insane
2wd. I tricked the trans "FWD" output to power the rear wheels. No, we actually a guy weld up the majority of the frame for us.

I thought in order to qualify as a "1960s" or however they labeled it, it needed to resemble that kind of car, for ex. A lotus 7.

I ask because I'll be dealing with a similar problem soon and thought they would be bugging you about things like windshield wipers and bumpers etc even though they don't really make sense on a car like this
      Correct, that is the one.

That's the assumption we were under as well. But because this thing is so far fetched and doesn't resemble any production car, 1960 could be the year of it. Even though they knew we built it over the last few years.

When we went through the inspections we had no windshield, no bumpers, no fenders. although I have heard that all of those pieces are grey area. Just be nice and you'll get through :p

If you don't mind sharing, what did the whole project cost you guys? (besides the blood, sweat and tears)

So glad I come back to r3v every once in a while and check in.

IMHO it looks better than an Ariel. In fact when I opened the link and before reading, I thought it was A new model from them. I'd buy it. Who sells the kit? Can't seem to find it.

The rolling chassis and parts were actually pretty cheap. Never added it up and couldn't tell you price per part, but it was cheap enough that the guy who helped us with the frame went out of business after building 6 of these. Realized it wasn't worth it anymore.

The guy who sold it is no longer in business. His name was Danny. I couldn't even tell you the name of his shop. He was on a bunch of the kit car forums.
