Roll bars are great, when ever people want you to drive them somewhere you say "oops I can only fit 1 person lolz on you" then you dont have to drive and burn off your gas.

Figured that's why you said that. It's just not perfectly flat there, makes it look messed up.

I bought this roll bar because it doesn't have cross bars. :)

I think the cross brace was the issue in question, not the passenger seating

for me anyway, the main appeal of a roll bar is for harnesses. Harnesses hold you in much better than stock belts, and I would only advise using them with a roll bar. Hence the function of it, at least to my perception. So I guess maybe that's what was meant, just unsure of the motive of a roll bar without a cross brace to facillitate a harness

Running harnesses on the street hurts your ability to turn around and control the radio, etc. A few of my pals run rollbars on the street because of their setup, and basically it is an admittance that they drive stupid and this is an attempt to keep them alive if they do screw up. I guess it's good and bad: good to consider their safety, bad to have that be an actual concern.

MR325, I don't think people were questioning whether or not you were planning on running passengers, but rather something "e30_Groupie" posted:
I didnt want to eliminate the option of backseat passengers, and I hadnt seen one like this installed yet.
Being able to have "backseat access" for shit or sideways ackson with females is one thing, but passengers are a no-no with a roll-bar, period. Might as well buy a 2-seater at that point.

a year and a half with my rollbar in, i just went to put my backseat in to make it look finished. I cant figure out how to get the seat back in without cutting the foam a bit. I have rear headrests with metal brackets, maybe thats whats making it so difficult. But if i took those out and got the seat back in place, i wouldnt be able to put the brackets back on...soo i dunno what to do. show me the way matt

Umm, I just shoved the seat in there! I did plan to cut the foam out [and might still] but it's not that bad as is.

You just have to use your mirrors more. The P/O put the harness in my car because the seatbelt clip was broken, I wore it twice or so until I figured out how to make the clip work. I didnt really have a problem you just had to get used to it. Maybe not being able to use your radio as freely will make you pay more attention to the road? lolz :)

If you set you mirrors right, you never have to look.

                            Rear for rear view

                            Sides for each blind spot.

Works great for me. Just use your perephrial (sp?) and you'll be golden. I can change lanes so quick it's not even funny. ;)

I don't understand why people set their side mirrors to see what they ALREAYD see with they're rear view mirror. Just DOES NOT make sense. Why use your mirror to see the side of your car? What's the point? You can see that with your rear view mirror. Why not set the side mirrors to see your blind spot, head on? Then when a car isn't seen in your side mirror, it's either OBVIOUSLY next to you, or behind you. Simple as that! :D

hehe, I set my driver side to see behind me like the rear view. I dont use the passenger one though I think its pointed right at the ground. If I want to see in my blind spot I turn and look, I dont trust mirrors.
