    Turbo bling, rusty subframe.

Haven't posted many pics recently, figured I'd throw some up.

Here's some pics of a few cars we're working on at the custom shop I work at. The red Z is on the cover of this month's Modified Magazine - kinda cool to say you drove a car on the cover of a big magazine :)

The Supra is just plain retarded. Clean, not overdone, but get under the hood...man. Did a full custom fiberglass trunk for him - both cars will be at the Dub show in Boston on Sunday.

Ran into a nice exotic the last time I went to Bav:

Also, some pics of the dropped subframe from one of my parts car. Sanded down the trailing arms, gotta get the subframe blasted.

That Z8 is cool, but I've got one up on you. There's a guy here in town that has one of the Alpina Individual Z8's. :D

Oh, and ummmmm.... (this is not the Alpina), yeah, that's my goofy ass...

Saw one last summer - black with red interior. Chatted with the guy for a while, real nice car. Saw it passing by a restaurant - damn near killed myself careening into the parking lot ;)

Cool cars, quick as hell and you feel like a total baller when driving one with the top down. Its a shame they didn't come with a LSD.

...because there wasn't a manual transmission that could withstand the torque and horsepower of the new motor, according to wherever the heck I read it.

Minor installs, sales, cleaning, parts ordering, shipping, pickup, computer work, setting up the in-car computers, and boosting morale. Shop bitch :)

I have zero interest in fabrication, fiberglass work, sanding, etc - in any way, shape or form. And I'm color blind, so matching the right color wires can be a challenge... :)

I'm pretty sure that the Alpina Z8's had the stock 400/400ish engines .
The whole auto box idea was just a marketing ploy that was aimed directly at the US market .

This was all I could find.

"Remarkably, the 4.8-liter ALPINA engine comes to within 19 hp of the BMW M unit (375 hp, vs. 394), does so at lower rpm levels, and is thus suited to teaming with an automatic transmission. "

I also remember reading something about it being more suited as a touring car, therefore automatic, but can't remember where.

The Alpina Z8 used a modified M62tu, similar to the one in the X5 4.6is. At least they look nice.

Nice pics. I always look forward to your random monolog of pictures. Seems to always be something different.

                            Cool looking cars.
Just on Friday, we had a Lotus Elise, Lotus Exige, and a Noble m12 3R in the shop I work at...

We get Elise's in all the time, but that is the first time I have seen an Exige and a Noble in person.

If you don't know what a Noble is (I didn't), here is some info:

I remember a few years back on Speed channel they showed a Noble being hand built. I think it was on Sports Car Revolution. Beautiful cars. I had the chance to check one out last year at the Grand Prix at Lime Rock.
