Some pics of my car

Well, I took some pics with my phone and attached them to this post, so everybody should be able to see these, opposed to my last thread where people couldn't see them...

Finally done with all the hard stuff, all suspension/brakes/wheels... Now comes interior (all black sport leather) and paint..... I want to paint it a dark color to offset the look of the polished wheels (they are not chrome, technically, but they definitely look it).

What color would look good with that scheme? (chrome-ish wheels and black interior, but paint must be a dark color)... Any ideas??

I think black would look good, post a good side pic and have someone
photoshop some dark colors.

I have a 3.5L M30 engine in it.. makes it 335i..


I'll try to get a good photoshop pic..
I still have Mtech sidepanels/skirts and a front rieger lip to put on... then i'll take a good pic for that...

yeah, well i actually didnt' think they looked that shiny in the pictures when i was shopping for the wheels themselves...

I wanted to paint them black in the centers and keep the outer rim chrome...... but can i have a bodyshop do that when i paint the car? any idea on cost involved... do they have to remove the tires do do the painting? or will the HAVE to be powdercoated instead...

keep the bling, i dont mind those wheels esp when they are on a freshly sprayed car. Look into a dark blue.

Im not a huge fan of the rear bumper, looks out of place without side skirts.

I can see it coming together nicly with some fresh paint, I think maybe a real dark silver color or black would look good.

they are custom forged wheels, not $100 ebay specials..

the outside of the car is a mess right now, but obviously it's a WIP. I just hope you aren't keeping that rear apron, or maybe it won't look as bad with a dark color..

I like the wheels. Itll looks cool with a more subtle bumper and one uniform color but I see potential.

Thanx guys,, Yeah I have alot more work to do... but i know it will look great when it's done... in feb/march timeframe.. I have the rest of the bodykit that will level the car out..

I know it's 3 different colors right now... it's not permanent trust me.

i'm almost done !!! few more months

I'm guessing the original color is sterling? I would just repaint it that, I love silver four doors. You would probably be surprised how good it looks with those wheels. I wouldn't be concerned about offsetting the wheels with a darker color. If it were me, I'd rather have them sort of blend in with the car instead of trying to make them stand out. Or else it makes it seem like you're trying to have a "look."

I say go with painting the centers of the wheels ...that would really tone them down .
If you get them painted at the same tima as the car the shop will most likely cut you a break on them .
No need to dismount while only doing the centers ...although you might want to leave the car on stockers and bring the bling loose .

Oh and the only good think that you could do with that rear valance is to smash it with a hammer . :p

Yeah, the wheels are NOT ebay wheels.. they are Jline forged wheels and are 17x8 20RL2's with 15mm rear offset and 20mm front offset.. Great combo...

Running 215/40 17 tires.. i think that if i ran with 225 or larger, i would have rubbing problems on the strut housing and maybe the fender...
