Snagged a completely rebuilt 3.91LSD unit for the tii. I am hard on the hot-rod tii theme, and this will compliment the power, 5-speed, and tires nicely. Also came with the Aardvark spacers and everything needed to install. I'll probably have to send out a spare tii gauge cluster to Hollywood Speedometer to have rebuilt for the 3.91LSD, since the ratio has now changed from the stock 3.64.

    They are thread-on knobs. Correct for 2002, e9, e21, e12, e3, NK, 700, etc.

Wow you can tell i know how to read.

My wife would divorce me for for spending 105 Chipotle burritos with double meat and guac's worth on them. And that's not even the worst part.

Sorry for the bad photo, I'll take better ones when they arrive.

Pulled out some center console and interior pieces for spring cleaning. I have doubles and triples of everything. I'll probably start selling extras once I get both this and the 1600 squared away. Then I'll doing a massive purge sale and get my mind off parts. But until then, I'll hold onto everything.

This center console will make it's way into the tii. I just need to fab up a faceplate that deletes the radio/CD deck and incorporates three VDO gauges: Water Temp, Oil Pressure, & Oil temp. I'll add AFR but that will go in the glove compartment.

Almost a year ago was the accident in the 1600. On that faithful day, a good friend on this here forum, by the name of Mark, was one of the first to make it to my hospital room to make sure I was ok. He brought by this old BMW Motorsports Roundel as a gift and I never really understood the gesture. But I was going though some old things and I came across it again. I really like it. I will think of where I can incorporate it into the 1600 as a reminder that even though I possess unique cars, they don't mean anything if you're too dead to enjoy them. So thanks for that, Mark. I hope you're doing well in Tejas.

I have a few more boxes of underdash panels that I will go through, assess, and clean. I think I have a set or three of trunk boards that can use a good cleaning as well. Probably a few sets of interior door cards also. I really need to do an inventory.

Get into one while the market still allows it. The days of $10k tiis that don't need complete overhauls are gone. Deals can be had, but they aren't common anymore. I stay away from public listings for this reason.

If you insist, I can probably help you find a decent car.

The tii has a big week in front of her. First, I'm sending the car to a local tii guru for some tuning. The car runs great when warmed up, but because one of the POs, who did most of the mechanical upgrades, won't divulge the most important information regarding it's upgrades and history, I will send it in for a PPI/tune up. I want to know what pistons are in it, what cam is in it, what other upgrades have been performed, have all parts of the mech. fuel injection system synchronized, have all facts detailed and notated on a document that I can now use as a foundation for knowledge on this car. And if in the process, it runs better and faster and stronger, I won't complain ().

Then I'll get the new GC suspension in, the IE stainless exhaust in, probably the new carpet in, send the seats out for some upholstery work via xXxAbduxXx, then FINALLY start thinking very seriously about the exterior aesthetic of the car.

This car will find it's way to a race track, though not intended for competitive racing. I want it to be mechanically sound, before I get there. But first, I'll drive down to the La Jolla Concours show and make the purists angry.

Honestly, I'd probably throw them into the dumpster. I hate caked on grease. That, or take them to my local steam clean pressure washer guy and give him $20 to go nuts on them.

But if I had to do it at home, and I didn't care about the wheel's finish because I plan to redo it all, I'd be using a concoction with gas, kerosene, purple power, & LA's Totally Awesome, mixed together. Apply using a spray bottle, agitate with a plastic or brass scrub brush, and make it all pretty again.
