Isn't it about time to start tossing everything into the 70?

thats for the comments, i wasnt expecting so many z enthusiast. The car is far from perfect, luckily i got the body replacement panels (dogleg/hind quarter/pan) to finish the body resto. Interior need work too. The roof is really cool, it was either a factory or dealer option in britain. ^^ This Z was the runt of the litter, the other two there were beauties. one prussian blue, showroom clean and another metallic green.

I have a buddy in Miami that has a turbo L motor from a late 80's 280ZX making big power in his 73 240z. From what he said the swap is pretty easy.

RB would be my choice... i have always had a soft sport for the older z cars... maybe its because i was born in one... true story

i thought about going turbo L28. you can get it into the 11s for under 2 grand!

I was just gonna build a high comp n/a motor, like on my e30, but as soon as I got a motorcycle again I realized I need something faster on the track

I want to rb mine as soon as I get some more money together (I've spent 6 grand into the touring in the past year, as well as buying a new (to me) r6, and track fees all over the place, etc)

awsome, my good friend just bought a second 73, his plans are a small block 350. Its stripped but with a cage. His first one is a blast to drive but I cant wait till he is pushing 400 with this new one. Have fun with it they are great cars and fun to work on.

L28et is essentially a bolt in swap...just wire it up and go.

My 240z with an almost stock L28 felt real nice to me. Not as nice as my earlier 240z with a healthily built L28.

My 260z w/ a chevy 355 and 4 speed muncie didn't feel nearly as nice as either of my L28's...but it was DAMN fast. The L28's were more fun to drive though despite having less power. The v8 always felt a little out of place to me.

                              What does a 240z weigh?
