At the time I purchased the wheels I did have the budget, but now I have been accepted into college, and am wisely saving all my money to make the $1000 of housing per month. Besides, you are wrong, the tires were a gift to me. The wheels I bought for $500, and that would have not been enough money for springs, shocks, and mechanical fees. I do not do DIY work on my car.
No, I didn't have a bad day, and nothing I said was in a rude or flaming manner. I simply stated my opinion.
If that's too much for you, I can try to tone it down a little. Or you could relax a little. Your response would have been perfectly civil, had you left out the "bad day" comment.

My point was that some people might think that a lowered car on stock wheels looks bad (I don't), but it looks a lot better than stock ride height with big wheels.

It was a little, but its cool. I dont mean to get snappy at you either if thats what I did. I do agree with you though, I do think that basketweaves + nice suspension setup can look a lot better than my car. Bottlecaps though, I dont know. ;)
The car looks like it needs more contrast... or like its missing something. I am not a fan of white cars and the shiny rims just accent more white. I think that it is just that the car is still really close to stock, but with a few things changed, but not enough to not see the stock look anymore.
If it were my baby, I would add a black is boot spoiler and license plate filler to contrast up the big white slab in the rear, tint the windows up (looks about right tint in pic #6), and give the car a drop if I was going to keep those sweet looking wheels. They are good looking wheels but seem out of place on a otherwise stock looking car.
What are you planning on doing that makes college so important? The house I am renting is only 250 a month... with one roomate. She cleans though so its even better. You better be getting a garage, a lift, and a house to yourself for $1000. Now THAT would be a good investment.
