nice - wondering how long it was going to take to get a pic post up :)
All within a day, my starter and passenger side window motor shit the bed. This car LOVES to embarrass itself at the most opportune time. No biggie - I've got another starter pulled and in the trunk, and I'll grab a spare motor.
Yes, I do wash it, but the paint is in such horrible shape (mismatched panels, bondo filled and peeling DS door, peeling trunk lid) I don't do it often. Already have the painter lined up, just waiting for it to come off the road. With fresh paint, she'll be washed almost every day. It's a driver - the drivetrain was the most important thing and the stroker does the job nicely.
Brent, your camera is awesome - shows what a good camera can do. Doesn't even look like Andy is moving. My pics came out fairly crappy. Glad someone got some good ones :)
Made it back just fine - though tailing that Dinan M5 with less than a gallon of gas wasn't the brightest idea, eh? :)
Damn, looks like it was a good time. Wish I hadn't missed it and was able to meet and hang with the local Bimmer crowd. One of my CV joints started making a lot of noise at the end of the week and I spent saturday swapping rear axles. I knew they needed service but they chose a funny time to start acting up. Oh well, maybe I'll see some of you guys at the next event.
Damn boys! I miss this thread for a day you're already at each others throats!
It was great to finally meet all of you, you guys rule!
Scott, what did happen with the M5? I misjudged a lane change an got stuck behind a minivan and was not able to catch up with you guys. I watched in sadness as your beautiful Stromung purred off into the distance, or what should have been the nearest gas station...
