You can get the film directly from Lamin-x. Runs about $40. Installs in about 10 minutes. The "light" tint cuts output by 18% or so. I have the stuff installed on my euro smilies. I love the look and can the light output is still better than the DOT sealed POS's that were on the car before.

I dont understand how the smoked film makes the headlights "look" bad. They come out looking smoked, they do hinder the light output but I think they look sick. If I was to ever get HID's for my high's as well, I would do the smoked film over my smoked ellipsoids to get them looking pitch black.

edit: Ed...your car looks amazing man. Does adding the smoked film help convince you at all to do smoked turn signal's or euro trim? I know you've herd it a thousand times and I like the amber on your car. It help's make it more unique but with the smoked lights I think it would look alot better with smoked turn's and euro trim or black sidemarkers. Maybe someone could do a pshop of that.

and these made them look new again, temporarily.

Yup, I sure did. I liked them a lot but I am happier with my non smiley Euro's. I can't really explain why.
