Thanks :) It's kind of a hybrid of exhausts ... its a custom 3" downpipe that bolts to the second half of the Active Autowerke track pipes, which bolts to a UUC System-U Catback

However, none of that is what you actually hear in the video, because my wastegate vents to atmosphere ... so what you hear is basically just a 38mm tube that dumps pretty much right off the headers down underneath the car

Here's a pic (front of the car is towards the left edge of the pic, of course .. you can see the very start of the "half" of the track pipes that I still have on the car ... where the downpipe bolts to the little 3" resonator at the lower right of the pic)

Oh - and the song is Air - Electronic Performers .. an avid Top Gear fan should be able to figure out where I came up with the song and video editing ideas hehe

Well s0nik, welcome to R3V, our little E30 haven on teh intraw3b. Glad to have you, we look forward to seeing what you end up with!

Just shop carefully, inspect prospective cars throroughly, and don't by the first nice looking example you find. The E30 you want is out there, you just have to look for it.

Feel free to ask any questions you have. Most of what you probably want to know has already been asked in multitude, so the search function is your friend. There's an unlimited amount of resources and knowledge available to you here, so just look around and ask questions.

        Thanks Josh :)

And yeah, while it would be OK if I ended up with a "nicer" E30, I really don't need one all that nice .. though I guess I could just part it out and sell pretty much everything if I could land a good price on one in decent condition. That or make some really bitchin furniture/decorations!! I've always really wanted to make one of those really cool coffee tables out of an engine block!

I kinda plan on redoing the entire car haha - but it'll still look like an E30 in the end! and that's what reall ycounts haha - oh and don't worry, I'm not going to ruin a precious E30 M3 with my plans (trust me, if I had one, it would be a garage queen) .. any regular old 3 series will do.

.. by the way - does R3vlimited have any stickers or t-shirts of the logo? I would totally buy one if there was haha - I love the E30 outline ... would look great with my other collection of stickers on my workbench :D

Maybe its because theyre one of the most reliable BMW's ever made. Maybe its the fact that theyre real easy to work on. Maybe its the handling potential they have. Maybe its just the feel as you drive. Who knows, theres a different reason for everyone, but I see a ton of e30s still around, and every single owner absolutly loves the car. Thats saying something.

Sweet m3 man and welcome to the world of e30's.

Same here. I'll get stopped in parking lots by people that have them all the time, or I'll talk to people I see driving them, and they all say the same thing, that they love the car. I talk to a lot of guys that used to have them back in the 80's/90's and sold them for whatever reason, and always regret it.
