wtf. I just want the newer members not to be scared away, to be banished under a rock, or be frightened away. Avus's car has potential. I was unaware he had come into contact with the "J" before.

Jordan was very critical of his ride, and it seems to be because he wanted to express that BMP kit sucks, in his opinion. I don't tend to agree with many of Jordan's extreme comments or criticisms, but I know that is his nature. If there is a noob to the board, he could be pretty scary. He's mean, and if I bring in more local E30s, I hope they won't be picked on. :?

If you can't understand sarcasm, you suck as a person. The last line of my previous post was based in sarcasm. It was satirizing how he is not right all the time, and people should stand up for what they like. (Like how I like black grills, for example) Also, referring to Josh's statement as a flaw in judgement was making Jordan's opinion seem like a fact, which was meant to be satirical.

Maybe I need to just avoid sarcasm, as it is lost on some of you.

p.s. pictures on here, not roadfly:

          these **should** work.......

Its the shit you have no control over that you have to worry about, not what you think you can handle.

Above all else, SHIT HAPPENS. When and if shit happens, and you don't have a roll bar of some sort, your head is going to be in your ribcage.

I was not at fault in the Jetta accident, the bystanders, police, dot, and insurance saw it that way... I'm sorry do you actually think you are smarter then those people? My car was rolling on what might as well been fucking marbles.

and pssst... no one was worrying about you.

If I knew how to drive my car as well as I thought I did, I'd still have my car and my license. Never overestimate yourself, it will only get you in trouble. There's no way to be prepared for every situation.

Jordan, what happens if you have a rollbar with no harnesses on and the car rolls over?
Your head hits the bars of the rollcage as you move about the seat. You possibly get killed from a head injury.
If you are gonna have harnesses, you need a roll cage, and vice versa.

Man you have rocks in your head, lets compare and contrast:

Roll over with a rollcage, and normal seat belts:

Perhaps you hit your head, I don't know about anyone else, but I've taken some nasty hits on my head.. and surprize surprize.. I appear to still be alive

Roll over with a rollcage, and 4 points:

Chances are you walk away laughing

Roll over with 4 points, no cage:

Chances are you will survive, right up to the point where the pillars will buckle, and the roof with attempt to occupy the same space as your body. Roof 1 - Moron 0

Roll over with no cage, normal seat belts:

Slightly better chances then a roll over with 4 points and no cage.

Jordan is right to some extent.
Rolling over without a bar and 4 points will compress your spine and hold you inplace when the roof comes down on your head. Your body wont be able to move with the impact forces.

A roll bar will significantly improve your chances of survival in a roll over.

Dont forget, a roll bar is completely behind your head, so by all rights, your head should not come incontact with the bars unless you have your seat in permanany ghetto balla rollin down main street mode. AKA: Reclined into the back seat.

WE've re-hashed this many times. If you dont buy our arguments about roll bars, harnesses and the saftey issues, go speak with any certified and knowledgeable instructor/race car driver. Or look up medical journals covering spinal injuries in autos

Im not cocky, just confident in my ability to pilot my car. I had an accident before, that left me hanging from my seat belt. I realize that shit does happen and that you don't ever count on bad things, but part of being a good/responsible driver is knowing the limits of your car and the condition of the road.
