August 2016 Car of the Month - FLG

***Editors Note: Though this car has been picked before, I chose this for a few reasons. #1- It rounds out the different avenues of building an E30 into a legit racecar. I was hoping to feature a members SE30 but it didnt work out and Frank stepped in at the last minute to help me round out my choices. #2- His build features many R3V vendors and members' parts. Truly a R3V car IMO. and finally #3- Who doesnt like seeing an E30 sliding around with massive smoke clouds generated by the mighty M20 that powers many of our own E30s. Congrats Frank, enjoy everyone***

    Story behind the car:
I bought the car about 5 years ago with the intent of making a daily driver/weekend car while i was working on my 73 Charger restoration...sadly this turned into a full drift car in just a bit over a year. As my need for power got worse it went from a stock to turbo m20, then eventually into this rediculous build which though extremely fun has not been fun on my wallet. I met a lot of good people while building this car, and without all of them i wouldnt have ever spent all the money i did, so screw you. But seriously, a little thank you.

            SO MUCH LIME.
Dream M20 for me right here. I might steal your heat-shield idea for the wires.
            Love it all.

Can you talk to me about your cooling and coolant temps at full tilt on the track?
