    '88 325i coupè from Italy

Hi sirs, let me introduce myself:

I am Enrico, writing from Italy in this beutiful forum I keep reading for a while. Now that I think that my car could have reached the level of the forum, I can present it and myself to all of you.

    Let's get it started:
It's a 325i, originally produced for the German market, bought from me three years ago. I took it home and start making all the paperworks to make it driveable in the Italian streets. It took about three months to have all ok, and in the meantime I totally reapinted it in its original dolphin metallic grau.
I looked for it for some months. the prerogatives were:
    coupè, mtech-2 kit and sunroof.
and there it was, a few days after the complete paintwork:

I needed some low asap, so I bought an horrible jom coilover, in order to take all the spaces and measurements for wheels and tires that it will have to be fitted:

Then some maintenance, and one of the works that took me much time to realize it: 5x120 lug swap with e36 hub, 300mm discs in the front with 4pot porshe calipers, and for the rear all the m3 e30 stuff (calipers, hubs and discs:

here under the 7x15 for the winter mode:

These came home then, BBS RC 8+9 x 17:

during the test fit I had decide to make them front mounted, in order to give room for the very big calipers. so I had to fit them with a 15mm spacer. here's the final result:

    front 8jx17 205/40, rear 9x17 215/40

    winter 2015 had these upgrades:
    new screws:

    10mm spacers for the rear:

    result:

    In july 2015 these arrived:

and the old, horrible jom leaved, instead of this:

    bilstein hardware, and custom springs.

and this is the actual setup, with a little front lip I made myself:

and now, here we go the interesting stuff:

for this car I planned to go for a m20b28 stroker, starting from an m20b20 engine block, i will bore it to 84mm with custom ross pistons, m52b28 crankshaft with 135mm rods, modified camshaft, bored throttle body and full fritz bits exhaust line. here some picture of the parts:

    885 head

    M52B28 crankshaft

and the m20b20 block, ready to be disassembled:

    exhaust line:

    complete disassembled engine:

    and the pistons:

and here a comparison from custom to original pistons, looks good to me :D

Now we are in the present. I am at this point with the stroker, just need to send the block to be bored in the machining shop, order the camshaft, the clutch (any advice is apreciated), and all the stuff to make an electric fan above the radiator (even here, any advice would be really apreciated).

so, that's all, hope you enjoyed my build thread, and hope to read a lot from you about it.

I apologize in advance for my bad english :(

    Read you soon!!

Sorry for the last big images, I don't know why they are so big! I just copied them from another forum where are in 800x600 resolution, like the first ones in the page!

thank you guys, I really apreciate your interest!

today I've fitted the exhaust system, it is a double 45mm section, but with custom made manifolds, and more free silencers compared to the original ones. supplier said that it is good untill a 2.9 with 9.5cr, so it will be also good for my future 2.8 with 10.5cr.
the sound got better, and I earned some torque in all the rpms, with 500rpms more of useful revving. I am really happy about this.

If you need any clarification, please ask :D

anyway, anybody can help me about my stroker project? which clutch may I use for my project? and what hardware for the electric fan? the original radiator is enough to cool my future engine?

I have also read something about a different heigt between m20b20 and m20b25, but I didn't noticed it. where did you found that data? my b20 block has a total height of 270mm, anybody has a b25 block to make a comparison? this will be useful to me in order to do not waste the money of the boring of the block, and find that my pistons won't fit in it

thanks in advance for your answers
