    Greetings from Texas!

Hello to everyone, I have been here for a while but decided I should jump into the conversation eventually...I have an 86 es in bronzit (stick) that I have been driving for nearly 3 years now. Love it to death, I upgraded from my trusty e46 touring, but I literally look forward to every time that I get in this car and drive it. I have developed a mania for not taking the freeway for want of a winding two-lane backroad to fly down.

I've done numerous projects now that I really want to elaborate on to share some tips etc. maybe one of you can say is it better to post a new thread or add to an existing one? example I just did a fuel line replacement and I would like to add clarity on how I did it what size of lines etc.

Anyway I've been about 20k down the road from the 165k I bought her with. Was really well maintained and documented, credit to Rhinewest in San Antonio for keeping her in good shape. Has been driven in San Antonio for her whole life and only two owners.

Some things I've done with the short story
New Driveshaft...from driveshaft specialists in San Antonio, excellent work
New exhaust..built to last duralast (works just fine though)
    New weatherstripping from...NAPA?
Worked out some issues with th crank sensors
New front valance brackets after my low-rider attempt
    Seat struts
New tires...wanted Contis but wanted factory size so we are on falkens
Factory cassette retrofit...holy crap this will get a thread
    Air conditioning recharge...this isn't the r12 you're looking for...
Recovered my leather shift knob..fun with arts and crafts
Coming up on a suspension refresh and upholstery repairs (can you say IKEA?)

I am kinda obsessed with keeping everything close to original and stock so not really planning on any mods.

Anyway good to be here and hope to contribute more to the forum now!

    John

Assuming Hill Country area? I haven't been down there in my car, but the roads out that way are amazing. Drove them with my grandfather in kerrville.
