    Euro 325i 4 Door Granitsilber Slicktop - My low-mile single owner import!

    Hi everyone -

    I thought I'd share my new project and first endeavor into the e30 world. It's a 1991 model 325i Euro-Spec 4 door slicktop in Granitsilber. When I took delivery of the car back in September, it had 29,100 miles on the odometer. Today, she's rolled just over 30,000.

    From my understanding, the original and sole owner of this car worked in both Germany and Japan and this 325i served as his means of transportation while working on the archipelago. Included with the car was a variety of OEM Booklets in Japanese, as well as one of two service booklets.

    Why the head rebuild? Within the first hundred miles of "shakedown" driving, the timing belt tensioner failed and caused the belt to skip a few teeth. The resulting valve damage warranted a complete head rebuild. While unfortunate, its nice knowing the head is practically brand new.

        Mystery priced.... My offer $1.00. Why was the head rebuilt? Rebuilt LSD odd to have both of these being rebuilt with barely break in mileage. Very sharp car, VIN for inquisitive ones.

            Wondering same thing. With that many miles it just needed a fluids flushed and a good once over likely. But if you got the $$ then i guess why not.

              Great questions!

              Differential: The car was optioned with a 4.10 Open. I bought a used 4.10 LSD from my local BMW shop which they had rebuilt for a customer.

              Engine: The timing belt tensioner was loose and caused the belt to skip a few teeth during shakedown. This bent almost all the valves so the head was rebuilt.

                          201 is optioned sport/winter normal mode automatic gearbox. It doesn't translate well.
