It'll be at the show n shine - painted or not! :)
In all fairness, this isn't very expensive to do - I'm into primer, sandpaper, tape and plastic for about $100 right now. I'm shooting for under $600. Since it's spread out, it's even easier to afford.
I recommend this to anyone that has the space and the determination to do it!

Jeezus Scott you never fail to amaze me.
Can't wait to see more pics. Just out of curiosity, what kind of paint are you planning to use?
From what I hear, it makes a big difference what manufacturer of paint you buy, and matching generic paints and primers that don't go together can give you not so good results.
Lucky you had no rust.. I've seen people mix and apply fiberglass before, it is impossible to smooth down and it dries with all kinds of air pockets.Visit the 3 series heritage site (work in progress):

lol - bring it up, Ray - might as well, eh?
I may hold off spraying the paint until after the show - there's a few more things I want to get done before the paint goes on and I don't know if I'll have the time to do it before then. We'll see.
As for paint - only name brand top shelf stuff is going on, and lots of it. At least 3 coats of paint, and at least 4 coats of clear. All will be sprayed with a top quality spray gun and compressor.
I'm not aiming or expecting a flawless paint job, but it's going to be damn nice!
