Its good for a daily driver. Its not silent, and I have yet to really push the car since the chip/ injectors & muffler are all done to really feel it. I will be driving through a tunnel on my way home, so I will definitely push it thenLeave a comment:

Nice! I kinda wish I went the borla route, mine drones like shit there...
Is it too quite or just right?Leave a comment:

I was going to make an end table to some other car-art with it, but I underestimated how tall the VW 4 cylinder crank is... a BMW I-6 crank might work better.
Havent noticed it, its actually pretty quiet overall.Leave a comment:

Do you get any of that "death drone" around 2.5k with the borla?Leave a comment:

haha yes, and you know where it will be ... with me forever...
If you move down here, I will gift you the cracked one and you can do something cool with it. It was my garage "chair" until I bought roller chair instead. Now it just collects dustLeave a comment:

I'm late to the party on this one, but happy to see those wheels are back with you. I think those are the only piece of my old e30 that I still know the whereabouts of....wonder what ever happened to my old car.Leave a comment:

Nice work on the belt & tensioner!
My Dad thought he'd replaced the belt on an engine he put in his car, but it turned out (when the tensioner became very noisy about 6 months ago) that he actually did the belt on the engine he took out of the car and the timing belt in his car was 13 years old and had done close to 100,000 miles! He did catch it in time luckily.
I'd say you'll be fine a bit past 2020 :DLeave a comment:

Cirrusly Blue - The Daily Driver E30
Thanks! I might have both arranged locally. New owner of the Aluminum Monster (CYN RNS) is probably going to go 6-speed in 2018 so I will be getting the G260, the driveshaft and possibly a few other things back from my old car... slowly buying it all back!
I do need to find a clutch pedal setup though and get my single mass flywheel sent out to get a little weight shaved off of it. No rush on either of those though.
Oh, Ian also let me borrow a 173 ECU he had so I can try out the Sssquid Chip. I will probably throw it in the car tonight or tomorrow to try it out.
