Tracking numbers show that my bumpers aren't going to be here until the 26th, but Andrew and I are still going to at least start on the valences this weekend, stripping and prepping the front, and trimming up the rear, doing some test fitting and getting ready to start mounting/painting them. We can do just about everything we need to with the front, and we can get the rear at least trimmed, and somewhat test fitted, but we need the rear bumper to accurately figure out where to position it.

Once we get started, I'll be starting a new thread in the Body/Paint forum with step-by-step progress and pictures of the whole conversion.

I'll be interested in how this goes and how much work it will take. I need to repare a rip in my rear valance, and I have been thinking about cutting it behind the bumper and replacing the whole thing replacing the whole thing.

We'll figure out the best way to make it work, don't get so worked up about it.

And Matt, they will be painted... :D

What's wrong with euro bumpers WITHOUT the MK I kit?

When are your bumpers getting delivered? (just kidding)

    Bumpers will be here Friday...

Again, something I've gone over numerous times, in this thread.

I'm bias, but I think euro bumpers painted black would look SWEET on your car and be a less work, too.
I don't mean to sound like a dick, but I've gone over this so many times, probably in this thread...

I would swap to euro bumpers IF I could find a good condition M-Tech I kit, and only the full kit. It's the only kit I like that goes with euro bumpers, and the likelyhood of finding one coupled with the cost of not only the purchase, but then having it shipped over here from Europe FAR outweighs the cost of the swap I'm currently doing.

But thank you for the words of encouragement, I know this swap is going to come out perfectly and be one of the best around. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to this sort of thing, I don't fuck around and I don't go half-assed.
