like how you added the "do you know where it is at" thing instead of just saying it.
You gotta sell that stuff man! You can't just say it.

the wire for your speedo is on the back of your diff. Slide a jack under the diff and lift the rear up. You'll see it, there should be a plastic clip(most likly broke) that holds it on.

You will see the plug on the rear of the diff... you know drives the rear wheels from the center of the rear axles

So your seat back won't come up any further?

nah the lady broke it and her kid and dude friend tried to fix it but they just busted up a shitload of things on the sides of the seat. now i cant slide it far enough forward to even have access to the two bolts that hold it on the back.

Have you tried a boxend? I know it would take a second, but it could work... A ratcheting one maybe? Or a reg socket with a breakbar attached instead of a ratchet may give you more clearance. ujoint? Lemme go outside and experiment really quick.

Yeah if you can't tilt the seat forward then you are screwed. Is it the cable that runs behind the seat back?

well the way it is if teh seat would slide forward one more click i could get to it, but right now the upper top part of the track is literally right above the bolt. i tried hitting it with a screwdriver and hammer, butthey are on there very tight. if i could get the seat off i would probably be able to fix it, but i cant get it out of the car......

There is a rigid cable that goes from one rail to the other... you can either pull it or move both of the catches....

look under the seat, and find the mechanism that releases the seat slider...

to tilt the seat, remove the two covers, they are outboard of the pivot point of the seat back... and work the small levers that are indirectly connected to the normal lever for tilting the seat...

that is understood and i have already tried that multiple times. i have a thread in the "general technical" about this exact problem. but yeah the seat wont slide forward far enough. one more click forward and it would allow access to the bolt, but it doesnt so i cant remove them so i cannot get the seat out of the car so i cant fix it.
