Some recent shots & videos! TONSSS

Once again, the new school year is ripping me a new one. I've been procrastinating since Friday night, so I figured - what better time to post pictures? ;)

Before coming back to school, for those that don't know, I rebuilt my motor. I have a little over 3000 miles on it now, and it's running great! Thread on the rebuild here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=70092 I won't bother with any engine details or pictures here, check out that thread for everything - literally.

RIGHT before I left for school...like less than a week before, I ddi a bunch of little things to the exterior of my car:
    - Redid the undercosting
    - Painted all trim pieces (include side and front grills) with new SEM trim paint
    - Put on plastic bumpers - painted with black SEM trim paint as well.
    - Got it waxed, thank God, before I left. Almost didn't have time! 8)

BEFORE any of the changes mentioned above:

In the process of the changes:

    Mmmm...sexy.

    ZIP TIES FTW! :D

After the side trim was repainted and after redone rocker panels

Pics from the day I drove back to school...nice and loaded down. :)

A dirt road in the middle of Wyoming - yea, I was cruisin right along, well voer 100 - and hit construction! SUCKKEDDD! I had to go around 30 mph for about 20 miles on this crap. Damn ruts were shaking my car to hell! LOL

Some fun roads none the less. :)

AND - of course, some after shots - taken about a week ago after driving back to school...

The local BMWCCA Chapter came to Rapid City, SD for some driving - couple shots I took: (more here: http://photos.e30driven.com/v/events/drives/bhrr06/ )

    Can't forget the autocrossing fun...

    Answers to pre-determined questions:
    - The bumpers are black because the front cover has a nice crack in it, and I didn't have the money to go body color
    - Same goes for the lip
    - I'm still debating on whether or not to do shadowline - I like the chrome, but I don't like it. Right now, I just don't have the time.

Gmail doesn't limit attachment size do they? Could be 3 meg a piece.

Thanks, by the way, Matt. Always nice to know I'm not the only one that finds my car attractive. :D

looks really good... body colored bumpers would make it look even better when you get the funds for it.

and you should shadowline it for sure

Looking good Sean, I actually like the fact you left the Infinity black. Now, the bumpers on the other hand, will look great painted.

I really like your car a lot. Body color bumpers (whenever they come) will make it look perfect.

Great stance and a great color though, keep it up!

say that you use them just to hold it in place.... ..to see that how it looks..

looks fantastic! how's the motor running? I've caught up to you on miles, I'm at around 3200 now. I switched to Mobil-1 10-30 synthetic at 1500 miles which made a much bigger difference than I expected (valves are 10x quieter).

the joke is, it works very well. I did the same thing with my lip (I have the exact same rieger copy), I've bottomed out, nailed cones at 50mph, bumped into things, and it's held up great. the guys who bolt them to their valances are the ones that end up breaking them into 1 million peices because the zip ties let go if you hit something hard, bolts don't. I did end up running my lip over a few weeks ago but it's still in one peice..

Nope. There are approximately 20 zipties holding my front spoiler on. And, it's still on there - good and tight too.

How else would it be mounted? It's not a real Rieger Infinity lip, just the replica produced for a group buy some year and a half ago. I literally had to force the thing on, and trim some areas just to get it to fit right. There's no other way to mount it - no clips or anything. I just used the holes from the prexisting clips. Has worked great! :D
