I'm curious to see how this looks 6 months to a year from now.

Really? I dyed my rear speaker shelf with the VHT carpet/vinyl dye and it turned out great.
At first, it was hard to get even coverage, but once I got enough coats layed down, I was able to get it looking very uniform.

Since nobody ever acually touches my rear speaker shelf, I didn't bother using a wire brush in between coats, so the carpet isn't the softest in the world... I really don't care though.

I have had my carpet dyed since mid July, I also have black bavauto mats. The dye holds up real well, it doesn't rub off under normal conditions. Some of mine rubbed off when I left my window open overnight in the rain and I was scrubbing the carpet, but I think this stuff holds up very well.

Well, the weather isnt exactly great for painting, but it was about 60 degrees outside when i did it, and even warmer in the car so I decided to go for it.

I used a soft brush on the carpet after every coat. It was kinda hard to get it even, and I ended up using a lot more than I expected. It took 2 cans to finish it all...

The carpet isnt as soft as it used to be, but its pretty close. It's not like you lay down on the carpet or anything so I don't see why it would matter. The texture LOOKS the same, and I doubt your shoes will care that the carpet isnt 100% soft, especially if you have mats over it anyway.

I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of having a dirty tan carpet, or wants to change up the interior! No fading issues yet, and ive been brushing it a bit.

BTW Jeremy, we should have a photoshoot sometime XD I can't find your number though

Why would there be fading issues in the first couple of days?
