The friction disks can fuse? Does that mean it there is no more limited slip and it becomes fully locked? Thats awsome, sounds easier than taking it apart and welding it.

Did you replace the full diff or is there a rebuild kit somewhere?

Yes, but it's abuse the car can handle :). I don't think the krouts designed the diff to handle 5th gear redline donuts, but 2 nd gear 40-80 kph is just fine for it (4.10 LSD).

thats exactly what happens, i did free the last one up, but it's noisy as hell, and probably wont last long, it's bitch to drive, and parking becomes a 3 point turn.

            Eh?

Stock diff with 372k here. Lucky if it even gets a "cheap" fluid change every 50k. Not a single noise from it, locks up perfectly.

why can't you, there called friction disks for a reason, spining tires create friction, therefore creating heat, and spining for long enough, say dounuts at 240km/h on snow, would probably do it.

Because we moved wing night to monday, so nobody gets tired on sunday night anymore. Shame you didn't come out that night, would have been a blast, I had no competition to make me look bad :D

Yeah, got overzealous and his magical AWD system didn't pull him out (too much angle way too fast way to close to obstacles and not enough skill). I drove his car around the parking lot, VERY easy to slide, you can input whenever you feel like it, very forgiveable, but it builds way too much confidence. Blades driving my E30 was a humbling experience for him, no AWD to save his ass, it's just pure reaction and skill.
