The car is still here in Iceland. I'll probably ship it to Germany next week
where the modding will start.

Had some fun today at our local track - it was VERY slippery, ice covered with snow.

Didn´t look at the speedo at all - was too busy having fun :)

I also didn´t want to take any chances with the car because I´m
shipping it to Germany this week - don´t have time for any
damage/repairs.

I think the bottom line is he's taking a borderline-ancient 200hp motor out for a modern supercharged 4-500 hp beast. Where's the problem?

Ordered brakes today from Movit(Porsche) - red calipers.



I also purchased wheels and tires second hand.




Those are white OZ Ultraleggara 17" wheels, 8" wide. The tires
are Bridgestone semi-slicks - 235/40. The wheels weigh 8kg,
ca. 16 pounds.

I can´t see how a 400hp S50 E30 M3 is worse then a 195hp S14 M3.

I dont think this is their point. What they are saying is "How is a e30 316i with these same modifications any worse than a M3 that would have actual value if left stock".

After changing EVERYTHING it doesnt matter what car you start with.

Here is a small update.

The car is now in Germany. I went and picked it up in Hamburg at
the beginning of the month and took it to the tuning shop. It´s
a 600 km drive.

It was quite wet!

You don´t see many of those - it´s a LADA (russian made):


I like the look in the rearview mirror - that wing is nice :)

Here is one project they are working on - putting an Audi TT motor into
a Golf:


They also had this Lotus Espirit twin turbo that is one of the biggest
money pits around. They have to pull out the motor every 10.000 km
to change the timing belt:



The blue Batmobile is a total restoration project that they are working on:


We also took a look at the crown jewel of the shop - they own this
pristine M1:





I flew back the next day and they started working on the M3 :)
