    Why I'm giving up my car



    That's the A Pillar. It has bondo ~80% of the way up. If I plow that thing into a wall, as new drivers are wont to do, then I shall DIE. That, R3V, is why I'm parting out my car.

          It's for the better Nigel, just from what I've been told, that car was a pile to begin with. Find yourself a nice condition early model and rock on.

                              OK guys, here is the deal. The car was obviously hit hard in the left front quarter. We went to swap the door yesterday and found it just would not align. I cut a hinge in half to make a shim thick enough to make it fit...no dice. The car that the door came off of was straight...so we got to looking. The "A" pillar has a layer of bondo about 1/4" thick across the entire surface, as does the door jamb.

                              Screw this car. We will part the thing, find some other E30 and build that.

                              We will do more magnet checking before purchase, I can assure you!

                              Hard to believe a car I got for $100 is a crap deal...but no way am I putting that much effort into this pile.
