Hehe - It's mint up close. I'll be taking a few closer pictures later when I get a better camera. Car is completely straight - no dents, major scratches, rust, etc. - only major thing left is cleaning the engine bay, and converting to Manual (I have the box etc. just waiting for the motivation)

Looks very nice and clean, though I don't really like the blingin' rims. Welcome to the site.

                        Aux,

First off - love the car. I am considering doing the Mtech II kit new from the factory. My question to you is on the front valance cover. Do they sag? It seems like all the ones I see sag in the middle. I remember my old 87 with the IS front valance/air dam had a metal strip that held the bumper close - it sagged until I tossed some rivets in it.
'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

Thanks for the comments guys. To answer some of your questions:

Wheels are 17's - They're TSW Kylami's in silver, that look pretty chromey when polished. I definately wasnt going for blingy with the wheels - I'm all for the genuine look.

It's pretty hard to find decent wheels down here especially when spacers get a bit dodgy when it comes to getting the cars road registered, so it makes dish pretty hard. Proper M3 wheels or basketweaves are pretty uncommon too, so it was easier to try and find something that looked BMW-ish new - those set me back $2400. Really nice to drive on though. I'll be doing a 5 stud E36 conversion when I do the iS Turbo project (once I find the funding to finish it.)

The suspenison is a set of King Springs and Koni Shocks - holds the corners really really well - I know a few people using the same setup in the E30 race series back here in New Zealand.

Now as for the Tech II - The front valance cover does have some sagging issues due to the mount points on the valance - the valance sits a bit lower under the bumper in the front, and because of this the mount points are slightly lower. If you could prop the mounts up slightly (there's 3 of them in the middle, spread out) it could stop the sag - but it's such a hassle to get it on and off nicely that I havent bothered yet. The main issue with my front valance is that i've scraped on the ground one too many times and shattered the middle and left hand side mount, causing it to sit lower than it should. I'll probably do a fix later next month, as it's starting to bug me now :)

                          -Gareth
