    1988 m3

well i got this car about a week ago, so i figured i would post some pictures. its an early 88 model, henna red, i bought it from the original owner. had to take out a loan to afford it, but it is well worth it! not planning many mods right now, gonna get some tires then head to the auto-x. also going to get an s52 timing chain tensioner and an oil pan baffle. after that i'll start messing with the stereo. enjoy!

i like it. def. get the baffle with the stories of other cars w/o one, i dont think you want to have to rebuild the motor while paying the loan off for it.

Explain to me again what is an 88 m3 doing with sealed beams?

Other than that car looks great, I love henna!

Some super early models (his production date is probably pre 9/87) got sealed beams. AdamF's is one example.

Looks like a clean car - I love Henna. Any interior shots?

I'll get some interior shots later, production date is 07/87 thats why it has sealed beams.

I still dont think it makes much sense ( although I get what you mean ).

Why would BMW throw sealed beams for 2 months on an M3 before switching to ellipsoids in 9/87

heh i have quite a resume but this is my only car now, and will be for quite a while, i really really like it. dont know why bmw put sealed beams in there for 2 months, maybe you should ask them.

Because BMW GmbH and BMW M GmbH are 2 different companies.
