ill answer my own question. Did you opt for comprehensive coverage on top of the basic?

Even better, pull your carpet out, and put it in your house/shop with the dehumidifier.... that would def. keep the bacteria to a minimum.

Hey man, Thanks for the help. It's really not all that bad though. To clarify, I had three quarters of an inch in the car, not 3 or 4 inches (that might be somewhat confusing from original post). I don't plan on claiming anything, all that got wet was the carpet so I've just been doing my best to dry it out by any means needed.

How hard is it to take the carpet out? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I've been lifting up little pieces here and there and shop vaccing underneath, but this would be the ultimate solution (would give me a chance to really clean the carpet well too. Is there a writeup somewhere for carpet removal or anything?

Yea, the only thing about removing your carpet is making the decision on to cut it out, or remove a lot of things behind the center console. I think you'd have to pull your heater core and some other stuff.

Its really simple to just use an exacto knife or similar to cut the carpet around the heater core. When the center console piece is in you won't even see where you cut it. Just pull out your e-brake surround, and the shifter surround, your front seats, and thats it. You'll have to pull out your gas pedal but I've never figured out how to do it correctly w/o breaking anything. I only rip the carpet out of my parts cars so i dont care if i break something, but I'm sure theres a write-up out there.

Well, I busted out the blow dryers today and did a really good job drying the back half of the carpet (I was able to lift up the carpet and get underneath). But now I'm puzzled about how I am going to do the front portion. I assume there's foam under the front part of the carpet like the is in the back part of it?
