    I had a 350 short block where i could of put this TPI on it. But i gave the motor to my buddy. This 305 will be fine for now just put in a little bigger cam in it. The car is still going to be my DD so i don't need a power house that will rip the car in half. I thought i never say that in my life, but i just did..

    Nice work, can't wait to see it all polished up.

    So how much power and revs are we talking about? Engine is probably pretty torquey since it was made to haul a luxury cruiser. Are aftermarket camshafts made for the engine?

    yes for the custom drive shaft. My dad will do that, he's did some on some of my other cars and there was no vibration so i have faith in him to do this one right.

    It's not going to be that hard on the motor or chassis, i'm only going to put a little TPI 305 in it, or 5.0 for you metric guy's. I've had cars with solid mounts in them before. The transmission mount will be rubber cause there does have to be flex in the drive line somewhere.
