I had a 350 short block where i could of put this TPI on it. But i gave the motor to my buddy. This 305 will be fine for now just put in a little bigger cam in it. The car is still going to be my DD so i don't need a power house that will rip the car in half. I thought i never say that in my life, but i just did.. -
EWWWWWWWW
A 5.0? Its probably because I'm a bowtie boy but that has got to be the worst motor swap possible for an e30.
A good ol 3 half SB would do nice though ;)Leave a comment:

Nice work, can't wait to see it all polished up.
So how much power and revs are we talking about? Engine is probably pretty torquey since it was made to haul a luxury cruiser. Are aftermarket camshafts made for the engine?Leave a comment:

O sweet, that will still go well! are you making a custom drive shaft? It's not going to be that hard on the motor or chassis, i'm only going to put a little TPI 305 in it, or 5.0 for you metric guy's. I've had cars with solid mounts in them before. The transmission mount will be rubber cause there does have to be flex in the drive line somewhere.Leave a comment:

Its mounted using the factory bmw mounting points with adaptors made to suit.I do no advise using solid mounts! it will be very hard on the engine and the chassisLeave a comment:

How do you have it mounted in there? I'm going to have solid mounts coming off of the frame when i do mine.Leave a comment:
