Quick shoot of the Lazerblau 325i

Hi all, I'm new to r3vlimited, as I was referred from another site by a fellow member and I figured I'd just introduce myself with a small gallery that proudly displays my pride and joy. My name is Andrew Lin and I'm a college student living in Las Vegas.

I know very well the contrast and colors are overdone, as they were done this way on purpose. It's to help conceal any blemishes that may have been visible in the pictures. In some of them, the adjustments add to the pictures, and in other, they detract. It's the way life goes. Without anymore delay, here she is..

    Q,C, & C always welcome :woowoo:

looks pretty clean.. would be nice to see the color of the car though.

next time try using levels adjustment instead of contrast and brightness. you can do the same sort of edits to a picture without throwing away tons of pixels in the lower and higher ranges like you get with C&B. in other words, you get to keep more details while cleaning up an image..

kinda missing some lush midtones there, too high of a contrast. I'd love to see more pictures of the car, the color looks amazing.

          oh, and welcome.

Let's see those blemishes and the car itself for that matter, I think it's
a nice e30 but the pics are too dark to tell. That color would probably
            look better in sunlight.

Bethesda, actually. We've had the car in the family since day one. It was a demo car in New Jersey and we had it brought down to Volkswagen of Bethesda for us. It's even got the glass sunroof :) Father is retired usaf.

I get this request alot. I'm not particularly fond of shooting the car in vivid sunlight, however, I will take some decent daytime shots since I'm certain not everyone has seen this color.

I used curves to do the contrast after i did simple level adjustments. Like I said in my first post, I only did it to hide minor blemishes in the car like some stone chipping from the construction traffic here in Vegas . The majority of my retouched images don't use level/curves to such an extreme degree, but sometimes it's fun to dabble in the far reaches of the spectrum.

thanks for the comments all, and once the wind dies down sometime this week out here, i'll wash her up good and take her out for a daytime shoot.
