    My $500 track car

Well here she is. $500. I spent another $400 on a clutch and shifter rebuild (stock except for e36 M3 lever) and some other little things. I bought H&R Race Springs and Bilstein Sport shocks, and will also be getting all new control arms, tie rods, M3 rack, bushings etc... I'm hoping to have all that installed in a month or two. The car runs perfect, pulls hard, and has no weird noises or issues. Feels like a $2-$3k car. A/C blows ice cold, basically everything works. It had one owner, the guy who ordered it brand new in 1987. He gave me a good deal I think.

Sounds like a deal to me. I wish I could pick up a good strong runner for $500. Especially an '87 IS.

So are you going to retire the eta to being a daily?

Bad Ass for $500. I want to find another cheap one to set up for off-road / rally driving.

Well I'm glad everyone else thinks it's a good deal too, haha. I really wasn't in a position to dump money into ANOTHER car, but I couldn't pass this offer up.

They come with the clutch kit usually, when you order it from bavauto.com or the like. It's kind of stupid not to order bavauto's complete clutch kit. You need all the stuff no matter what and it's only $240, plus it's Sachs brand parts. If you need one, I have 3 or 4 laying around.
