Aggressive lighting/flash, and there is "purple" hue to the new paint like many e30 M3's have.
    Below the radar...

        HAHAH, I love typos!

There is NO purple hue like OEM DS cars.

See below photo for what I'm refering to:

In the proper light, DS will show purple.
The new paint on my car does not have this.

My DS 318is that was taken to a Pay'N'Spray by the PO has a purplish hue in certain light conditions.

I actually think that tint looks pretty badass. My montrealblau looks purple under some light as well (mostly tungsten).

I also had full use of our own body shop.
Dupont Chomabase and Chromaclear. I got free sealer, primer, masking paper and all that stuff. I also got the paint at wholesale cost..

                        <- Sikkens

My base/clear alone cost more than your whole paint job. Thats at wholesale with half of it "demo'd" by the rep.

Used to use PPG, but no longer.

Mine was just a refresher paint job. I had some pealing, door dings and extreme fading to take care of.. Delphin is terrible like that. Mine is no where near a show car, but I think it looks pretty damn good for the cost and it should last many years to come with care.

Hmm, that came off the wrong way. ;)

I simply meant the variation in paint costs can be huge. If I'd painted with PPG, it would have been less than the Sikkens paint.

I didn't strip the car to a bare chassis like Jordan did, and I didn't do the engine bay/trunk/interior... No need.
