Well, you have balls. Or doing love paintwork. Good luck keeping that car as beautiful as it is now. Maybe a ton of blue tape will help. It's good to hear it will be put to good use, although shocking to use a pristine example at a road course. Have fun.

    nice shot. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/unhcll/5-2.jpg
I race it at an abandoned wharehouse strip on Wednesday nights, 3/4 mile straight strip, 3 lanes wide.

It will see Drivers School time with BMW CCA. I was able to pickup the shells for an amazing price (IMHO) and they necessitated the rollbar/harnesses. Stock belts were just way to unsafe.

I'm not really worried about tracking it... it will get rock chips on the road too, and it is "just" paint. It can always be repaired. It'd be a waste of a brand new engine to only drive it to work and on Sundays, hoping not to get stopped by the police for winding it out on public roads.

I'm also 6' tall, and sitting in the stock sport seats put my head too close to the roof for my own comfort.

I disagree. Marianos car is seriously hot, no doubt...but having seen DS back when it was new, I have always wondered why it photographed so poorly compared to what it looks like in person.

I feel these shots show the color best that I have seen.

Either way, this car is seriously nice.

I'm not going for "best DS photo"

I was just sharing how the car turned out.... I'm not out to build "the most bad-ass" DS car ever.
I'm building it for me, and simply showing how it turned out.

I appreciate the compliments, but I'm not trying to surpass anyone or become the best. I enjoy my car, and that's all that really matters to me.

    :D

Fred, have you ever heard the saying "Its all gravy"?

Do you know WHY that is a "saying"?

Because it is the best, plushest, finest of its kind.

Just like that fucking BEAUTIFUL paint...best pics of DS I have seen yet.

    Congradulations, absolutely fantastic.

Now hire a real professional automotive photographer and do us some high-res shots.

    YES! Just kidding. :p

I was just saying, the better something looks, the more people will buy it.

Mesh wheels and E30s are like mashed potatoes and gravy. One of the best looking mesh wheels out there are the Style 5s, and that's the reason why so many people run them. They plain look baller, especially if they've been reconditioned.

When I posted, I thought to myself, gee, I hope Mariano doesn't read this! ;)

I think the following wheels are "played out" on M3s:
    1. BBS RS
    2. BMW Style 5

They are played out for good reason, because the wheels look awesome (or did, before every body and their uncle started running them):

The E28 M5 wheels are like running Euroweaves on regular E30s. Just an inch bigger in diameter, and they're subtle enough that only people with discriminating mesh wheel tastes will appreciate them.
