so was this a one lane road with no seperate turn lane? you might have commited my #1 pet peeve while driving. if you "created" your own turn lane to go right just because there was "room", you might be at fault. i cant stand it when people think just cause there is space to the left or right of someone that it is ok to squeeze by. at least to my knowledge when there is no painted line or divider to designate a extra lane and you make that maneuver it is your fault. but either way you have insurance so who cares.

sorry for the distasteful post.
you should just receive a payout for the damage estimate, in exchange for you signing off that you relieve them of any further liability. What you do with the cash is your choice.
however, they may try to total it... it does not bluebook for much, even though we all know it is worth a lot.Joe Funk -- Portland Oregon

Well, the police officers thought differently. There was more than enough room there and it is legal.
I would like to do the ACS front lip, but I don't know if I can afford it right now. We will have to see what insurance says and the condition/price of the guy that has one locally that he might sell.sigpic

One time, this son of a bitch in a Suburban pulled that shit while I was in my E30 last year, I swear to god, he probably had less than an inch of clearance.

In the state of NH it is legal to pass vehicles on the right if they are stopped, awaiting a turn across traffic.
It is NOT legal to pass vehicles on the LEFT if they are slowing/stopped to take a right turn.
Passing on the right on a highway isn't legal. GO figure.
And you're the assholes I hate, that take up the whole lane for no fucking reason and then waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles-foot around and wont cross on-coming traffic. :pBelow the radar...

Thanks for all the replies guys. It should come out better than before since I have needed to have the front valence painted for a while (the PO "repinated" it with white house paint due to rock chips). I am hoping to have that ACS front lip if it is in decent condition and I can afford it (you guys wanna pool together and buy me a sweet wedding present? ;)). I just gotta get things sorted out with the insurance, but I am getting it fixed at the best shop in town. That same fender was fixed and painted by them about 9 months ago as James said. They do awesome work.
Do you guys think I should have them detexturize the valence? I have seen it done and it looks good, but I also know it is a bit more prone to rock chipping like that.sigpic
