    My new Toy

    'ota ;)

Been wanting a new DD for a while, preferably a 4WD with AC.

Driving a hammered e30 daily for 4 1/2 years in Hawaii with no AC and EVERYTHING converted to black gets a bit old after a while. Especially if you want to go somewhere cool (i.e. the beach, the mountains, volcano, rain valleys, basic Hawaii stuff) you need more than ~2.5" of ground clearance. Half the time I can't even pull onto the shoulder, because there are rarely paved shoulders here, just ramble zones.

So yup, picked up a 2003 Toyota 4runner. 4.0 V6 4WD Sport edition. 3-4" of lift coming up soon, then maybe a small body lift and tires.

Only got a couple pics, I've only owned it for 2 days and just got to test it's beach capabilites this morning. Lots of camping trips coming up.
Pretty stoked to have my own newer vehicle. No need to ask everyone to borrow their truck/suv. Also, this is my 3rd car, before the e30 was my 87 nissan sentra (doots). Pretty nice to get out of the 80's, shiny cars rock.

On a side note, the e30 has graduated to project car status and I'm thinking of renting a storage place and parking my e30 there and just start modding. I kind of have like 3-4 grand in parts sitting on all my shelves, I've just been ordering stuff for no reason (damn money burning holes in them pockets) for quite a while and I'm too lazy to install them, so I've just been kinda stacking stuff everywhere, much to my parents dismay.

I need a truck/SUV. I miss my truck. Hauling parts around in the BMW is very difficult.

Those Toyotas look nice though, enjoy having more than 2 inches of ground clearance!

totally understand...went camping at the beach..my 2.5in of ground clearence got me stuck in the sand just making a 4 point to turn around, and my back wheels coming off the road.

      Awesome truck!!

Those 4runners are nice, coworker of mine had a fully loaded V8 version.

Only thing that kept me from buying one was the lack of a Manual Tranny.

Is the fender trim a different color on each side? Looks grey on the driver's side and brown on the passengers.

Very nice truck though, those are by far one of my favorite SUVs.

            RISING EDGE

Let's drive fast and have fun.

those are really nice, congrats. i want to sell my corolla and talon just to get a Titan or wrangler or something. winter sucks with little FWD cars... not to mention, camping and outdoors shit is where its at here in MI.

again, nice pick up. im jealous.

My camera made the passenger pic brownish, the fenders are gray.

I'm actually going to paint all the fenders and bumpers body color, like the newer models. On my test drive at the dealership I took it straight to my friends body shop, said he'll spray it for $1k
