    My 1991 318i

Here are some pictures of my "new" (a bit more than a month) M42 4 door:

Pretty much stock, since I got it I replaced the wheels/tires, did an alignment and replaced a cracked dash. I still need to replace one door lock actuator and one window regulator - at this point everything will work exactly right and I might start thinking about some small performance enhancements (somewhat sportier suspension and possibly a new exhaust might be in the future).

I needed a 4 door/4 seat that was light and fun to drive - it is my new winter / take the kids for daycare car and shares daily driving duties with my '93 Miata. It (indirectly) replaces a 1972 '02 I had.

Thanks all around. I am guessing that the PNW climate (moderate temp., not a lot of snow, not too much sun) and lack of salt on the road helps with classic cars around these parts. Add the fact that imports are usually more prominents on the coasts - and it just makes sense.

There are tons of '02s still running around as well.

yep.. we just don't have the problem with rust that northeast guys do. Unless you take *really* poor care of your car!
