Yeah... Around this same time last year, we walked out of our apartment to find my fiance's 91' Volkswagen Cabriolet had been broken into. This was while we lived in our old apartment, and they had taken a knife to the roof of the car and then broken the CD deck completely out of the dash. That was a lot worse, because she had liability only on it and we didn't at the time have renters insurance.

As much as I am pissed about the car, I know it doesn't do me any good to be mad... So I've already been joking about it. I've now got my "lightweight race window", and a couple of my neighbors have told me they like my note. ;)

If any of the local guys who said you have windows or dash pieces could give me a call... I will come out and pick one up this week some time! I don't have a lot of money right now, but hopefully we could work something out.

That sucks though man. Some a-hole dinged my fender big time in a parking lot and then took off. I was PISSED. Hopefully you get your money from the insurance company, it might just end up being a nice little stack of mod money.

Same shit happen to my e28 535i in jersey last year. But i knew who did it and beet the shit out of him and got kicked out of the school i was going to. then the car started fucking up got rid of it got a e30 325es. Then i crashed it bot a 1989 325i and love it but blew the engine so if anyone selling a 1989 325i motor i will buy it if the price is rite. life sucks

Why do I bother paying for full coverage insurance? It's basically like paying money to have them do nothing for you!I called the insurance company today to see what they'd help me out with. There is a $250 deductible is what they first tell me. Alright, well... My stereo was worth $250. Then they redirect me to the "glass people" to have them tell me what they'll do about my window. There's another $350 deductible on that!!! I can fix everything that's wrong for far less than that by myself!!! Thanks to the help of people on here! e30trash got me the dash parts for free. And Tom is going to meet me tomorrow to get me the window. (We couldn't meet today because he had to get some work done... But I'm not about to complain, because he's going out of his way to help me.)

Sorry for ranting... But sometimes I just can't stand the fact that all this money is paid for insurance, so that I can pay them MORE when something finally DOES happen to my car.

Now I'm basically out the cost of a new CD player.

Oh... AND In order for them to even help pay. I have to see the adjuster. The adjuster can't get me in until Friday at 2:30! And I'm not allowed to fix anything until the adjuster has seen the damage. That means they want me to drive around for a week without a window! They won't give me an appointment later in the day, which means I would have to use my leave from work to go.
