Thanks for the nice words guys. I really didn't expect to hear such approval in this wheel choice! I think they were an e36 wheel option, and I have seen them on a few Z3s. The e36 cars are usually 15" and the Z3 I last saw had this 17" form.

I am using the e36 struts (new Bilstein Sports) in the front. I have done HOURS of chatting and searching and debating on this, and I am sure my methods will come out pretty nice in the end. It will all be in the write-up eventually.

As I said earlier in the thread, the Kosei wheels are going to John (Norcal325)... they are his birfday present from himself to himself. He'll have new-ish 205s in the front and 50% 225s in the rear of yoko es100 flavor.

I am gonna start with 215/40/ZR17 all the way around in teh BFGoodrich G-Force Sport rubber styling. Eventually I am gonna go wider out rear if she can handle it, hehe. From what I can see from my little test fitting is that there is about 1" to 1.5" of clearance between the FRONT strut and the tire/wheel... room to grow?

These are very low profile, I hope I can handle it without fubar'ing these wheels!

        :P

No, fuck all that. Because if he doesn't finish in time, he won't have a car to drive up. And Clavin be my negro.

come on now... they will be on soon enough. last time I checked, going 80 in a 65 zone was ABOVE the speed limit, not as high as 85 or 90, but still above, hehe.

I'll get em on soon, but for the picnic roadtrip I am gonna mob 4 lug cause I have a spare that still fits and all that, plus some stuff isn't even here yet.

                woot.

Ever since I dreamed of doing this swap I knew I wanted a classy looking wheel, most likely a factory wheel. I don't see these all over the place, which makes me feel better about choosing them.
