the best would have been if the internal wastegates weren't welded shut.. that whole thing seems pretty unnecessary. i think it was set up this way so that boost control could be added. at this point i'm not gonna mess with that.. but at this point i know enough to roll my own setup for next time. :)

i do want to move the battery, it's on the list. freeing up that tray would be pretty sweet, and there's just too much heat around there for it anyways.

i am thinking about a rollbar for it...

i had them already, it was convenient. i want different ones, something with deep lip on them. I'll wait till after i have the rest of things fixed up before i splurge on wheels though.

i used a new headgasket with metric blues. it should hold up ok if what i've read works out in reality.

btw he told me it would only be pushing 8 or 9psi, either his meter was off or the wg spring changed somehow
Yeah it would never really go more than 9 psi you using the same gauge he had?

megasquirt's MAP sensor.. i didn't bother with the analog gauges. just the egt for a bit to get some confidence but that was temporary. now it's just an AFR meter (i got a wideband, his was narrow).

the exhaust is pretty damn loud, but

It would have probably spiked pretty high if the tiny little internal wastegates were left on. Take her to the track, you have to beat 13.9 at 103 MPH with a 2.6 60ft, slipping clutch and stock engine management with FMU.

                    http://media.putfile.com/139103mph

I'd love to see this setup get into the low 13s or high 12s I think it's easily doable. He ran a 13.8 at 105 I beleive once, with another shitty 60ft and bad clutch.

Crazy setup... I can't believe you drive that on stock suspension. Are those real TE37's?

I saw Waleed's car with this setup, crazy stuff. I was tempted to buy the damn thing, it went for such a good price for a running, proven kit. Glad to hear it worked for you.

real te37's? i don't actually know what you're talking about. wheels?
they weren't expensive, i had them on my honda.

so i had the wg hooked to the 1st turbo, the second was capped. when i y'd them together it stays more around the 9.5psi mark, less bouncing around.

the cabby weighes more than the sedan, i'm about ready to hit the strip but i'd have to be making more power to match that time.

just put the 2.93 LSD in yesterday, that'll help :D

still trying to get an intake filter together, might hack into behind the bumper (area under the headlights) and open the bottom of the bumper up for some cold air sourcing, not 100% sure yet. it's pretty packed in there.

Yeah pulling that time off on street tires is going to be more of a problem.
For reference on a 2.93 with the old motor (somewhere around 2.93s) best was a 14.3 @ 98. The new motor with the 3.25s and over 300rwhp dyno verified all i could do was 14.4 @ 110. Both were on autox suspension and very stiff sidewall 205 street rubber. Slicks now that would be into the mid 12s. Still going for the MPH number should give you a cheap way of getting a ballpark on the power level. Let me know when your going to the track, I might show up too with the 318is just for fun. Even if I put the 285 R-compounds on the turbo car I'm not dropping below 13s as they just don't work well for straightline off the line traction, plus the car is too stiff for that stuff at this point.

well I moved the battery to the trunk. that's good for an extra 40HP easy, should put me in the 12's. :D
                              j/k
but there was a weight in the trunk that i yanked out, it must have been over 60 lbs.
